I could feel an immediate temperature change that sent me racing off to the bathroom. I felt it mostly in my head. When I looked in the mirror, my cheeks, forehead and neck were flushed for about thirty to forty-five seconds. I was embarrassed and all I could do was wait till it passed and drink some ice water. Then there were the night sweats. Fortunately, they were few, but when it happened, I thought, "Welcome to perimenopause!" This sucks, but it was also a great "Aha" moment for me.
